Today’s trend is increasingly toward central processor units. However, to save space, a CPU is often no longer installed in the HMI display panel, even though the HMI panel is controlled by the CPU. The problem is that the CPU and the HMI display are often further than 10 meters apart and standard connections do not cover such large distances.
This is why RAFI created the EXTENDED DISPLAY LINK platform. It provides various technologies that bridge medium or even large distances of up to 100 meters. The platform transports audio and video signals, internet and network protocols, user inputs and USB as well as the power supply to the HMI panel over large distances without any loss of quality.
