For Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks, we were able to implement customized operating solutions that are part of the new UNI-TOUCH control unit for Unimog implement carriers. For us, the focus was on streamlining the center console and the detachable joystick with capacitive hand recognition. The requirement: To develop a simple control system that is as flexible and adaptable as the commercial vehicle itself.
Ergonomic optimizations have significantly increased the operating speed of the new UNI-TOUCH operating system. The center console with an extremely powerful ULTIMATEECU i.MX8 is designed for particularly demanding control and visualization tasks.
It has two USB interfaces - e.g. for updates - and three communication interfaces: CAN bus, LIN bus and video (GMSL).
The RAFI LINEAR JOYSCAPE with its capacitive finger recognition in the handle area can be removed and repositioned - so it is always within easy reach. The detent function including reset also makes it user-friendly and guarantees additional operating safety.
Last but not least, the freely configurable assignment of control elements contributes to accelerated and extremely flexible vehicle control.
