The construction work will stretch over a total of three years and successively renew roofs, façades, and glazed façades. The start of construction on the 9-story high-rise building (building A) is scheduled for early 2022. With the extensive upgrade, RAFI aims to support Germany’s and the EU’s climate protection targets. Building-physical calculations forecast energy savings of up to 45% and a reduction in the carbon footprint by 340 tonnes of CO² per year.
“Our investment of tens of millions of euros represents a clear commitment to Oberschwaben as a business location,” says Dr. Lothar Seybold, the CEO of the RAFI group. He also points out: “The building work underlines RAFI’s market success over recent years. It shows that our growth strategy is undoubtedly the right way forward.” Lothar Arnold, CFO of the RAFI Group, adds: “This investment is a clear signal to our employees that RAFI is a crisis-proof employer willing to invest and take the long-term view.”
