E-Box XL and SAFETY TOUCH

At electronica in Munich from November 12 to 15, RAFI will be presenting innovations in the fields of human-machine interaction and electronic engineering and manufacturing services. At the exhibition stand in Hall A2/341, RAFI will be showing new solutions for intuitive touch operation, secure transmission of high-resolution multimedia and control signals, and easy-to-install control and signaling devices with tool-free plug-and-play connection.

The innovations include SAFETY TOUCH®, the new RAFI safety concept for touch displays up to performance level d. SAFETY TOUCH is based on reliable, durable hardware components, a redundant controller architecture and comprehensive diagnostic software. The technology platform, demonstrated on a reference display, offers far more flexibility than hard-wired safety functions.

RAFI is also expanding its proven E-BOX portfolio with the new E-BOX XL. The E-BOX XL housing concept offers space for three to six built-in components, making it a flexible solution for a wide range of applications. The E-BOX XL is available in two versions: a modular version and an IO-Link variant. With the E-BOX XL MODULAR, the actuators can be individually selected and manually mounted and wired. By contrast, the E-BOX XL IO-Link is offered as a fully configured version, thereby simplifying integration into existing IO-Link systems.

The third highlight is the new capacitive touch panel for machine operation, developed and produced by RAFI for the complete machine program of all brands of the UNITED GRINDING Group. The 23.8” full HD multi-touch display offers ease of use comparable to that of smartphones and received a ‘Special Mention’ for outstanding user and customer experience at the UX Design Awards.
