"We would like to thank all RAFI employees for their voluntary work and are proud that we have so many colleagues in our ranks who are committed and contribute for the benefit of others. We would like to congratulate this year's RAFI HEROES and wish them continued success in all their projects," summarizes Dr. Lothar Seybold, CEO of the RAFI Group.

Managing Directors Lothar Arnold and Dr. Lothar Seybold (back row) congratulate this year's RAFI HEROES (from left to right) Thomas Kohler, Andreas Michel, Lisa Klan, Dominik Schmid and Michael Prestel.

RAFI will provide financial support for the following honorary posts in the coming year:

Helpers on site in Horgenzell

The organization provides first aid in emergencies in the region - usually before the regular emergency services arrive. The financial support can be used to purchase additional equipment.

"It simply gives me an inner satisfaction when I can help a patient in need. Even if there are sometimes difficult strokes of fate, it is still a good feeling when you know that I have done everything in my power." Michael Prestel

City pigeons Memmingen

Pigeon protection is environmental protection and environmental protection is human protection. With a great deal of personal commitment, the association finds ways for a compatible coexistence between humans and pigeons. The donation will be used for the maintenance of the dovecote and the purchase of medicine and food.

"City pigeons don't have it easy: Formerly used for meat production and communication, they are now left to their own devices. But WE will not let them down. We provide them with medical care, feed them appropriately and control the population. Being actively involved in animal welfare gives me the feeling that I am directly improving the lives of animals. Seeing an injured or starving pigeon gradually blossom is an indescribable feeling." Lisa Klan

Table tennis club Wolpertswende-Mochenwangen

The club wants to introduce children and young people to the sport of table tennis. The financial support can be used, for example, to replace a table tennis table, purchase bats and balls for practice sessions and a ball machine.

"On behalf of the association, I would like to thank RAFI for their generous support. I hope we can act as a role model both in the association and at RAFI and encourage others to volunteer and perhaps even take to the stage as a RAFI Hero themselves." Andreas Michel

Fawn rescue Zogenweiler

Avoiding or minimizing suffering is the top priority when dealing with our animal world. The donation will be used to purchase a drone so that the search for hidden fawns and other animals in meadows before mowing can be carried out more efficiently and over a larger area.

"I am very connected to nature and love seeing and observing the local animals. There are always great moments and beautiful sights to remember in the fresh forest air. By saving the small animals, I am protecting the diversity of species and the population for the next few years and the next generation of native wildlife." Dominik Schmid

Fools' Guild Henkerhaus Baienfurt

The association has been offering children's and youth camps for many years - including for children from socially disadvantaged families. This financial support will be used to renew the play box and enable the children to take part in local excursions.

"I have been organizing the children's holiday camp in Steibis for 20 years. I am also encouraged by the many positive responses from children who are now adults and who still talk to me about their best time at camp. Making this experience possible for many children and doing something good for society as a whole is what drives me." Thomas Kohler
