All RAFIX series come in modular design. They consist of one actuator and one switching element. You benefit because you only need to store the individual parts and can combine them as you wish. This gives you almost unlimited combination options for production and final assembly. You can create all the variations you require. However, if you want more, we can offer you a custom solution. Basically, the differences between the RAFIX series consist of the mounting depth, terminal types, and mounting holes from 16.2 mm to 30.3 mm.
The RAFIX 22 FS+ control component series is distinguished by its diversity and modularity – with virtually unlimited combination and individualization options. Different actuators and indicators ensure ideal operation of your machine or device. A modern and variable design concept enables you to individually adapt the control components to your system. Simply select bezels and front rings to match your corporate colors. This boosts brand recognition and the exclusivity of your products. All actuating elements in this series can be combined with FS technology switching elements.
Dust, dirt, lubricants, moisture, heat, and freezing temperatures: special solutions are required for tough conditions. RAFIX 22 FSR meets the challenges – a series specially developed for your applications wherever things can get tough. Adverse conditions reveal how far actuators and switching elements can go: durability, cost-effectiveness, and know-how, based on proven FS technology. RAFIX 22 FSR stands up to tough conditions. The low mounting depth of the switching elements is space-saving and enables quick assembly. The interchangeable colors and designs of the key switches and actuators provide effective orientation and clear recognition. The actuating elements are combined with FS technology switching elements.
RAFIX 30 FS+ control components are real eye-catchers and stand out with the proven advantages of FS technology. With the two switching element versions “Quick Connect” (QC) and printed circuit board assembly (PCB), you can achieve flat housing designs. This makes RAFIX 30 FS+ the low-profile alternative with high design standards. The applications are just as versatile as all other RAFIX series. RAFIX 30 FS+ is mainly used in automation technology, particularly where design and appearance have a high priority. The actuating elements are combined with FS technology switching elements.
The innovative switching element technology sets a new benchmark in the world of control components. The versatile assembly concept makes the RAFIX 22 FS+, RAFIX 22 FSR, and RAFIX 30 FS+ series cost-effective solutions. The system configuration is both flexible and modular. You can combine each FS technology switching element with any actuator in the three series. We distinguish between two assembly options.
The low mounting depth enables control component integration in low profile systems. This concept saves you space, labor, and material. It also virtually prevents assembly errors, as the circuit diagram is integrated in the design of the printed circuit board. In addition, beautiful, low profile control panels can be realized that not only meet the functional requirements, but also stand out visually.
The FS switching elements are arranged with other components on a printed circuit board. This is subsequently mounted behind the front panel together with the actuators and signal lamps. The switching elements “float” under the actuators on the PCB behind the front panel. You can place SMT LEDs on the PCB directly underneath the switching elements to illuminate the actuators.
The QC concept is the practical alternative for applications where a PCB layout is not economically viable. You can manually wire the switching elements using common flat quick-connect terminals (2.8 x 0.8 mm). LED clips that can be used individually in the colors of your choice evenly illuminate the actuators.
A low mounting depth is not the only thing that distinguishes the QC switching elements from conventional control components: They also do not require coupling elements between the actuator and switching element. One light click is sufficient and both elements are inseparably connected to each other. As a result, they can be used in environments with high vibrations and shocks. Complete, tool-free assembly can also be carried out away from the operating stands.
The classic control component series RAFIX 22 QR is predominantly used in mechanical and system engineering as well as automotive manufacturing. The actuators are resistant to environmental influences and provide large operation and display surfaces, making them also easy to operate with gloves. A variety of front ring colors also give your application an individual design. The switching elements of the RAFIX 22 QR series have the highest rated power of all RAFI control components – up to 400 volts or 10 amperes. You benefit from quick assembly and easy wiring from the rear. This enables a space-saving layout of the control components.
There are nine different actuators and indicators in this control series. You can choose between a round, square, or flush-fitting square collar shape, which seamlessly aligns the actuating elements in a row. The mounting hole diameter for RAFIX 16 is a standard 16.2 mm.
As a design alternative for low profile installation in front of the front panel, you can use the sister series RAFIX 16 F. It features a 22.3 mm round mounting hole or a square hole measuring 23.1 x 23.1 mm. The RAFIX 16 F with square collar shape allows you to align the actuating elements in a row without gaps. This creates the impression of a seamless key block.
